Why "Sustainable Empowerment"?

3wplanet vision of sustainable practices is to use technology resources to aim to meet business needs while preserving the natural environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but in the indefinite future.

Minimizing our Carbon impact
We all contribute to global warming every day. The carbon dioxide you produce by driving your car and leaving the lights on adds up quickly. You may be surprised by how much Co2 you are emitting each year. Following are the steps 3wplanet is taking to make a difference:

  • We have banished all traditional mail. We of course encourage email practices for all written correspondence. Invoicing also as been replaced by on online system.
  • Green powered hosting. We are currently using a "carbon offsetting" program to compensate our servers impact meanwhile we move our infrastructure to a 100% green powered environment.
  • Minimizing travel
    • Our sales team will minimize travel and maximize all alternative forms of communication, call conferencing, web conferencing. Of course we are always available to visit you in your offices if any alternatives we can offer are not suitable to your needs.
    • All our team players at 3wplanet are encouraged to work form home using all web technologies available (remote desktop, VOIP, web conferencing ...). These practices maximize the well being of our team as well as productivity. It's everybody's benefit and that exactly what is "Sustainable Empowerment" all about.
  • Printing practices: We reduces chemical use. Use of "treeless" and recycled content paper. Use of natural inks. Of course we recommend communicating without paper. Cuts cost and use of paper and solid waste. Saves time, postage, and/or fax costs.
  • For our carbon emissions that cannot be avoided yet, we contribute to organizations in a goal to counterbalance our negative action on the planet.
To minimize waste impact we encourage you to use the web and all web enable technologies to power your business and every day life for a sustainable development.
That's Sustainable Empowerment TM.

Our Design Philosophy:
Design at 3wPlanet begins with a Need
.

The real skill of the designer is the design thinking and problem solving abilities applied to translate marketing objectives into a visual solution. It is not just their ability to present a visual.

Our Design interface must be simple, functional and suitable to the task at hand.
The function will dictate the form. If we've done our homework, if we have not compromised on the process, the aesthetics will follow. Functionally driven design is usually minimalist. Less is more.
